.22 CROSS-STICK SILHOUETTE SHOOT

THIS EVENT CLOSES THE TRAP, 100 yd, AND 500 yd RANGES

SUMMARY AND COURSE OF FIRE:  Silhouette shooting, prone position, from 45 yds to 125 yds (at silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys, and rams).  .22 LR only, iron sights only (no scopes).  Unlimited sighters, 40 shots for score, 10 shots per stage with a time limit of 20 minutes per stage.  The animal has to fall to count, but the animals do not have to be shot in order.  Standard velocity ammunition only.

EQUIPMENT:  Eye and ear protection, rifle, spotting scope, cross-sticks, shooting stool and mat, open bolt indicator (required, available for $1), ammunition-standard velocity only.  Please bring your own lunch.

WHEN:  Saturdays, 3rd of each month, May through October.  Shooting begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends around 3:00 p.m.

2012 SCHEDULE:  May 19, June 16, July 21, August 18, October 27 (no September shoot).

COST: Members and non-members $10.00, Youth 12-17 $5.00.

I would like to invite everyone out for another enjoyable year of silhouette shooting.  Since this is a sport for everyone, I want to encourage you to bring out the youngsters.  There is an age minimum of 12 years old with adult supervision, but if the youngster can handle the rifle safely an exception can be made.  Hope to see you all there- come early and help set up!
