Service Rifle Match Program
Sandusky County Sportsmen’s Club
When: Typically the first Saturday of each month.
Firing Starts: At 10:00 AM. Concludes by 1:00 PM.
Location & Directions to the Range: 3950 State Route 600 Gibsonburg, OH 43431- about 3 miles east of downtown Gibsonburg.
Match will be conducted on the 300 yard range at the end of the range road. Look for large metal-sided shooting shed on the 300-yard range.
Competition Open to: Any eligible competitor is urged to attend, you need not be a member of the Sandusky County Sportsmen’s Club, NRA, or CMP. All competitors must have a notarized “Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Agreement” on file at the sponsoring club or present at registration.
Entry Fee: $15 . Special aggregate pricing will be available. Youth pricing is $10.
Entries and Squadding: Conducted the day of match at the ready line. Squadding will close 15 minutes prior to commence fire of each relay.
Rules: In accordance with current edition of CMP Rules.
Course of Fire: Course A 30 shot. Minimum ammunition requirement 35 rounds.
Ammunition: Will NOT be issued. Use any safe ammo. NO tracers.
Awards: Awards will not be given at this time.
Rifles: Open to Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military, M1 Carbine, Unlimited Garand, and Modern Military rifles (AR15s, etc.).
Targets: SR @ 200yds, walk down for scoring.
Equipment: Required: Eye and ear protection, empty chamber indicators (which are available at the shoot), and Sling. Optional = Spotting scope, mat, snacks, drinks, etc. Drinking water will be provided.
Clinic: New shooters should contact Will Chambers or Jesse Bragg prior to the shoot to arrange a clinic to go over the match and course of fire.
