.22LR SILHOUETTE SHOOT
THIS EVENT CLOSES THE 100m and Trap
SUMMARY AND COURSE OF FIRE: Silhouette shooting, prone position using cross sticks, from 49 yds. to 109 yds. (at silhouettes of chickens, pigs, turkeys, and rams). .22 LR standard velocity ammo, only iron sights are allowed. (see exceptions below under cost) Unlimited sight in shots, 40 shots for score, 10 shots per stage with a time limit of 20 minutes per stage. Sight in and shoot for score both contained within the 2o minute stage. Animals are on swinging frames and any visible or audible strikes counts as a hit per the spotter’s discretion.
EQUIPMENT: Eye and ear protection, rifle & ammo 22lr standard velocity, spotting scope, cross-sticks (no bipods on rifles), mat, empty chamber indicator (ECI) required.
WHEN: Saturdays, 1st of each month, May through September. Shooting begins at 8:00 a.m. after safety briefing and ends around noon.

COST: $10, youngsters 17 and under shoot for free (all youngsters must be supervised by an adult) Top scores for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded a blue, red or white ribbon respectively. Allowance may be made for shooters to use chairs, benches, scopes, etc. but only those shooting prone, using cross sticks and iron sights will be competing for prizes. The cost for all shooters except youngsters will be $10 regardless.
